OGDEN, Utah – The Eighth Annual Celebrate Shakespeare! Festival will visit Ogden and Weber State University March 22, featuring “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
The Utah Shakespearean Touring Group will perform the comedy, one of William Shakespeare’s most popular, at 7:30 p.m. in the Ogden High School auditorium.
In addition to the stage performance, Michael Don Bahr, education director for the Utah Shakespearean Festival, will present an interactive lecture, “What Fools These Mortals Be: Mirth & Magic in a Midsummer Night’s Dream.” He will speak at 10 a.m. March 22 at WSU’s Stewart Library, outside the Honors area.
The Celebrate Shakespeare! Festival is sponsored by Friends of the Stewart Library, the Ogden School Foundation, Jean Anne Waterstradt, and Suzanne and John E. Lindquist. Both the stage performance and lecture are free to the public.
