International Students Bring the World to WSU

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University invites the community to enjoy a night of dinner and entertainment at the international student banquet “Bringing the World to WSU,” March 25 at 6 p.m. in the Shepherd Union Ballroom.

The banquet, which is sponsored by Services for International Students Office and the International Student Club, allows international students to share their culture with the community. This event is partially funded by Chartwell’s Campus Dining Services, WSU Credit Union and Health Education/Drug and Alcohol Program (HEDA). The event concludes International Student Emphasis Week at WSU.

The dinner will feature food and dessert from around the world, including Chinese, Japanese, German, Hawaiian, Iranian, Italian, Peruvian, Puerto Rican, Russian, Saudi Arabian, Taiwanese and Ukrainian.  Entertainment will showcase Middle Eastern, Italian and flamenco dancing, African music, and a cultural fashion show, door prizes and more.

For each ticket purchased, $2 will be donated to Hurricane Katrina relief funds. The price is $12 for WSU students, $15 for adults and $8 for children (children’s tickets will be sold at the door).  Tickets may be purchased at the Shepherd Union Building Information Desk.
