OGDEN, Utah – Award-winning author and journalist Mitch Albom will speak at Weber State University March 28 at noon in the Austad Auditorium, Val A. Browning Center.
Albom is the author of nine books – two novels, one memoir, two sports non-fiction best-sellers and four books of his weekly columns – and has worked for more than 20 years as a journalist and sportswriter. He currently writes two columns weekly for the Detroit Free Press, and his latest novel "For One More Day" has spent more than 20 weeks on the New York Times hardcover fiction best-sellers list.
In 1997, Albom's book "Tuesdays with Morrie" captured the attention of millions of readers and has since become the best-selling memoir of all time with more than 12 million copies sold. The book details Albom's final "course" from his favorite college professor, who is terminally ill. For several Tuesdays before his death, Morrie Schwartz meets with his favorite pupil in his study to discuss his theory on how to best live life.
A book signing opportunity will follow Albom's presentation.
