Jeff Randle, a Salt Lake City physician and founder of Healing Hands for Haiti, will speak on Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. in Shepherd Union 404.
Healing Hands for Haiti is a not-for-profit organization that has provided physical rehabilitation services for Hatians since 1999. The recent earthquakes decimated 80 percent of the organization's facilities in Port-au-Prince.
Randle, who was on the scene after the earthquake in relief efforts, will speak about some of the history of Helping Hands for Haiti and some experiences leading up to and following the earthquake. This will not be a fundraiser or an effort to enlist new members in the organization, however, individuals interested in donating or volunteering with the organization are more than welcome to do so.
