UMT Plans Second Round of Auditions for 2005 Season

OGDEN, Utah – Utah Musical Theatre will hold the second and final round of Ogden auditions for the 2005 season Feb. 25-26 at the Val A. Browning Center on Weber State University's Ogden campus.

UMT's 2005 season will feature "Kiss Me Kate," "Side by Side by Sondheim" and the premiere of a new musical, "Wicked City Blues." Auditions for union and non-union performers will run from 6-10 p.m. on the 25th and 1-4 p.m. on the 26th with dance callbacks that night from 6-10 p.m.

Those wishing to audition need to prepare one comic monologue and two songs (16 bars each of one ballad and one character).  To be considered for a role in the Sondheim revue at least one song must be from that composer. UMT is also seeking applicants to work as carpenters, painters, stitchers, electricians, dressers, sound specialists, wig and make-up specialists, shift crew members, wardrobe specialists and craft specialists on the UMT production staff.
