OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University’s Environmental Issues Committee will hold a free screening of two winter-themed films, “Generations: A Skiers’ and Snowboarders’ Perspective on Climate Change” and “Breaking Trail,” in the Shepherd Union Wildcat Theater, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m.
“Generations: A Skiers’ and Snowboarders’ Perspective on Climate Change” is a short film presented by Protect our Winters that addresses the consequences of climate change and its impact on winter sports.
It will also provide information on how one can enjoy the outdoors and still help slow further climate change.
“Breaking Trail” features helicopter-free backcountry skiing and snowboarding.
The film will highlight riders of all styles hiking into the unknown in search of their own backcountry adventures.
