Skill Level: Prior experience in the topic area recommended.Basic mountaineering skills preferred. (ie: climbing, winter travel, avalanche awareness) Participants will gain the most if they come familiar with some outdoor climbing, winter travel, and winter camping skills |

| Details: This class is aimed at those participants who desire to learn mountaineering skills, or improve upon existing knowledge. Class room sessions will focus on equipment, clothing systems, route finding, avalanche awareness, safety, and mountain travel. Field sessions will be focused on practical application of hard skills, climbing technique, snow anchors, route finding, snow science, and self arrest. This class will advance participants to a more detailed understanding of mountaineering skills, and allow them to apply them in personal pursuits. |
