The Weber State University Upward Bound Program serves high school students starting in the 9th grade and following them through to high school graduation. Each year in the UB program, students are exposed to grade-specific activities and lessons to ensure that each student has the best post-secondary education track possible.
Bridge Program
Upward Bound provides a bridge from high school to college for all senior students. The Bridge program begins during their senior year with a retreat where topics for college entrance are introduced and explored. During the academic year, Bridge students are guided through college admissions, registration, scholarships, financial aid, and academic skills building to ensure their success at entering and completing a post-secondary degree.
Following graduation from high school, Bridge students are enrolled in college courses specifically designed to introduce them to the rigor required for success in college. These courses are provided at no cost to students through the federal grant.
Bridge students are guided by a coordinator who provides academic counseling and preparation in college-report writing.

Students need to meet at the UB office at 6:45pm in nice dress (no jeans or t-shirts) to walk to the Browning Center. Limited tickets so sign-up with Tiffany or Linda. (3 of 4 cultural activities) COMMUNITY SERVICE WSU Multicultural Conference-Wednesday, November 5, 2008 is a MANDATORY activity for all Bridge 2009 students. You will be excused from school to participate in activities such as WSU Admission, Major Fest and Multicultural Conference (with scholarships!). 2009 Academic Summer Program |
