Upward Bound has graciously accepted my application to become the Basic Skills Specialist with their program. My name is Linda Tobias and I am very excited to step into the shoes recently vacated by Pat Bair who has moved on to become the director of the Northern Region Boys and Girls Club. I accepted this position with a lot of trepidation, following Pat is an exceptional challenge. However, I come to this position with a great deal of experience. I have recently graduated from Weber State University with a BS in history, and a minor in mathematics. The previous ten years were spent at Ogden High School as a counseling assistant dealing with registration, scholarships, financial aid, testing, college advisement and academic evaluations. I have worked with high school age students for over 15 years as a coach, mentor, advisor, instructor and friend. I also hold a UHSAA coaching certification and have been a Girl Scout Leader for 13 years. Yes, I even glow in the dark. |

Students need to meet at the UB office at 6:45pm in nice dress (no jeans or t-shirts) to walk to the Browning Center. Limited tickets so sign-up with Tiffany or Linda.
