What is CLEP?

CLEP, the College-Level Examination Program, gives students the opportunity to receive college credit by earning qualifying scores on any one or more of 33 examinations. A total of 2,900 colleges and universities in the United States will grant credit for CLEP exams. More than six million students have taken CLEP examinations since 1967.



What do I need to know before I register?

Students interested in taking any CLEP exam must verify their scores will be accepted by the institution they wish to send their results. 

Weber State University is not responsible for any CLEP scores that are not accepted by other institutions. To verify what CLEP scores Weber State accepts, please contact Admissions at 801-626-6743.

You are required to register at least one day prior to the test date.

  • Each CLEP test is $80.00 to CLEP AND
  • Each CLEP test is $20.00 to WSU

CLEP has changed the ID requirements to one government issued valid photo ID as of July 1, 2014
