 		PST Application (Putting Students Through)
The PST Program was designed to enable WSU graduates to recognize those  who have helped make their graduation possible through their support;  moral, financial, or otherwise; this is why we are sponsoring an  opportunity to honor these special people. Each honoree will be  presented with a PST degree and diploma. There is no charge for the  diplomas since this program is funded through student fees. There will  be a special ceremony with university officials and student speakers.  The PST ceremony will be held on Dec. 12, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. , in the  Shepherd Union Building Ballrooms. A reception for all  graduates and PST honorees will be held immediately following the  ceremony. In order to honor someone, please complete and submit the  form that appears below by December 8, 2008. This is an excellent  opportunity for you to thank the individuals who have supported you  through your education. Thank you for your interest in PST.

Application for PST Student Speakers

Theme: “Believe & Succeed” - The key to happiness is having dreams . . . The key to success is making dreams come true.

Interested graduating students may apply to speak at this exceptional graduation program - Putting Student Through. The program honors family and friends of graduates who have been instrumental in providing emotional, financial or physical support to graduating seniors. We ask for unusual or touching stories concerning graduation and those who have helped you. Take the time to apply for this once- in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Applicant must:
  • Be a graduating senior
  • Prepare a 3-5 minute speech
  • The speech must be type-written and submitted to PST Committee for selection (submitted on-line or in person at Shepherd Union Building, room 301).

Selection will be based on:

  • Creativity
  • Content
  • Ability to stay within the structured time


Selected individuals will be given an opportunity to audition before the PST Committee. Deadline for Speaker Applications: November 21, 2008
