What can I do with a degree in criminal justice?
Graduates with a degree in criminal justice have a wide range of employment opportunities, including careers as police officers, sheriff's deputies, drug enforcement agents, U.S. Marshals, probation and parole officers, crime scene investigators, and state and federal lab specialists.
Starting salaries in criminalistics range from $27,000 to $50,000 per year. Local law enforcement salaries range from $25,000 to $38,000 per year. At the state and federal level, the salary range is similar at the entry level, but has a higher range with time in grade and promotional opportunities. By the time most of our students graduate, they have successfully found jobs in criminal justice fields in state, local or federal agencies.
