 Other Financial Resources for School
General Scholarship Requirements
  • Students applying for scholarships must have the 2010-2011 admissions process completed by the Scholarship Priority Date deadlines (The priority date is Jan 11, 2010 for New Freshmen and Continuing Students, and March 1, 2010 for Transfer Students).  The WSU Admission Office will also need record of your ACT/SAT placement scores.
  • Continuing students must verify and update their scholarship information through the eWeber student portal by Jan 11, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year.
  • Continuing students are encouraged to verify their major with their department or college in order to assure that it is correct.
  • International students must attend one semester before applying for academic scholarships.
  • Unless otherwise specified WSU scholarships are for one year (2 semesters) only.
  • Maximum scholarship use of academic scholarships is 4 years (or 8 semesters), for activity/fellowship scholarships the maximum use is 5 years (or 10 semesters).  There is not a maximum scholarship use for departmental/private awards.
  • The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office will not notify you of deficiency or default when any of the scholarship requirements are incomplete.  It is your responsibility to verify that all requirements have been met.
  • Scholarship offers include an agreement which must be signed and returned.  The agreement includes all the conditions for remaining on the scholarship during the term specified.  Scholarship offers should be read carefully, and the requirements kept for future reference.  Failure to meet the conditions can result in one or more of the following:
    • Loss of scholarship balance
    • Repayment of scholarship
    • Hold on registration and records
  • To request a change to an awarded scholarship due to GPA or Deferments, you will need to submit a petition to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office.  To do this, follow our Petition Guideline. We do not accept change requests due to Lower Hours or Acceleration.
  • The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) restricts the release of information on student records.  To release this restriction and give a third party access to such information, use the Student Information Release Form
