The Single Mom Connection

The purpose of The Single Mom Connection is to bring together single moms on campus and in the community for education, resources and support, and to foster greater self-confidence and self-reliance among these women.

You will gain knowledge, support, resources, friendship, and humor, in addition to gaining answers to questions like:

  • How do I find a good divorce lawyer?
  • Where do I find affordable housing and childcare?
  • What do I do about health insurance?
  • How do I provide for my family on limited income?
  • What do I do about a job?
  • Is college right for me and how can I afford it?

There is no cost to participate and it is available to motivated single moms, 20 years of age and older with dependent children at home.

The group meets for 1 hour every week for 8 weeks. A certificate is awarded to all participants who complete the course. Do not sign up if you cannot commit to the full 8 weeks. Sessions are offered in the Fall and the Spring. Please sign up early and contact us with any questions.

Grown-ups never understand anything for themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.
