Belia began her freshman year at Weber State University in the
fall of 2007 and was accepted into the Student Support Services program shortly
thereafter.Through hard work and
determination Belia has now completed all of her math requirements and is a
sophomore making great progress towards her bachelor’s degree in psychology.Belia currently serves as a peer mentor to
WSU students enrolled in the FYE Program as well as to high school students
through WSU’s Student to Student Program.She attended the 2008/09 WSU Student Leadership Academy and is involved
with the AmeriCorps Volunteer scholarship initiative on campus.Belia enjoys her association with SSS and has
received tutoring, mentoring, supplemental grant aid and textbook loan
services.She is grateful for SSS services
and in the spirit of “giving back”, currently volunteers her time to tutor another
SSS program participant.Belia embodies the
ideals of campus involvement through serving others.We at Student Support Services salute Belia’s
