One of the objectives of the Student Support Services project is to integrate out-of-class experiences with formal educational activities in order to enhance students' holistic development. Cultural and other enrichment activities are an essential part of the academic endeavor and a necessary life experience. Cultural and enrichment activities help students become more aware of the global community, which thereby promotes greater tolerance and understanding.
Choose at least one activity from the following list and report your attendance to your SSS advisor on the Enrichment Event Attendance form (can be downloaded below).
Weber State Performing Arts Calendar
The calendar can be accessed online at http://departments.weber.edu/performingarts/Events/ . Copies of the semester calendar can be picked up around campus. SSS 2-for-1 tickets can be used for WSU events. Many events are free.
Honors and Issues Forums
A schedule can be accessed online at http://programs.weber.edu/honors/issues.htm . check the daily bulletin for postings of these forums. They are held during the day. The subjects and times vary throughout the semester.
International Student Banquet
The banquet is held during spring semester. Tickets are available from SSS advisors.
Only the activities on this list will count toward your SSS participation requirement.
