The following checklist contains the steps you need to take as a new international student upon first arriving to the Weber State University.

1.      Document Check
Come to SIS in Room 143 Student Service Building for document check. Please bring your I-20 (make sure you bring pages 1 and 3) or DS-2019, passport, visa, I-94 card, previous I-20/DS-2019 (if applicable), admission letter, and sponsor letter (if applicable), Dependent I-20/DS-2019 (if applicable), and Dependent I-94 card (if applicable). 

2.      Complete Transfer
(Only for those students coming from another U.S. college or university).

3.      Contact Your College/Department
You will need to obtain necessary permissions for registration. You may also be expected to attend a college and/or department orientation.

4.      Confirm Teaching/Research Assistantships If you are a graduate student with an assistantship, confirm it with your department as soon as possible.

5.      Obtain ID
Student ID ("Wildcat Card")
Drivers License/UT State ID
Social Security Number
Individual Taxpayer ID Number

6.      Register for Classes
After you have removed all holds (temporarily or permanently) from your record, and have met with your college or department advisor, it may be possible to register for classes. Most new students, especially undergraduates, will register during their college orientation.

7.      Pay Tuition & Fees
You will pay your tuition and fees when you receive a billing statement in the mail.
