Internships

Students actively seek local, national, and international opportunities to gain paid work-related experience prior to the completion of their baccalaureate degrees. Internships may run parallel to the student's academic schedule (typically 20-30 hrs./wk during afternoon hours) or alternate with the student's schedule (a semester away from campus).

Students who are interested in receiving internship announcements should meet with the Goddard School Coordinator of Recruitment & Career Development. The approval of academic credit for internships is granted by the designated faculty coordinator for each of the major departments within the Goddard School. Most internships are offered to students at the completion of their sophomore year of college.

Career Employment

Senior Seminars are offered at the beginning of each semester for graduating seniors of the current academic year. Topics presented in the seminars include Self Assessment of Values and Skills, Researching Potential Employers, Building a Network of Resource People, Personal Presentation and Business Etiquette, Cover Letter and Resume Preparation, Behavioral Based Interviewing, Salary Negotiations, Professional Ethics, the Application Process for Graduate School and Completing a Senior Credential File.

Seniors who wish to participate in on-campus recruiting are required to open a Senior File. Files should be opened at the beginning of the academic year the student will complete his/her baccalaureate degree.
