Paper Submission

You are invited to submit a paper, abstract, and/or a proposal for a panel session or workshop exploring current management issues or in any of the tracks listed below. Papers may explore issues within a single discipline or broader issues involving several disciplines. Both empirical and theoretical/conceptual works are encouraged. During the conference, there will be a Best Paper award and cash prize in each track. We encourage submissions by current students to the student tracks. Former students should submit to the other tracks. To be considered for the peer-reviewed Proceedings edition of the Mountain Plains Management Conference, papers must conform to the formal guidelines listed below.

 Format Guidelines:

  • 8-25 double spaced pages including, tables, references, and exhibits
  •  12pt Times New Roman and one inch margins on all sides
  • APA style and format
  • Title page with topic, author, and an intended track
  • 100 word abstract page with the topic and three to five key words or phrases that entails the paper's focus (separate abstracts may be reviewed)
  • Attachment details - Save the paper with the paper's name as the file name. Do not include author's names in the file name. All papers, abstracts, and proposals must be submitted electronically to mpmc@weber.edu. memory limit no larger than 20mb

 Deadlines:

  • Early Acceptance Submission Deadline:  To help accommodate individuals who need to make travel plans or meet grant submission deadlines, there is an early acceptance submission date.  Papers, abstracts, and proposals submitted by May 15, 2010 will receive an immediate review.  Authors will be notified by June 1, 2010 regarding acceptance.   
  • Regular Submission Deadline:  The regular submissions deadline for all papers and proposals for the conference is July 1, 2010.  Authors who submit between May 16 and July 1, 2010 will be notified by August 15, 2010 regarding acceptance.
  • Final Deadline: To be considered for the peer-reviewed Proceedings edition of the Mountain Plains Management Conference, final corrected versions of all papers and preregistration by at least one author per paper must be submitted by September 1, 2010.
