What is human resource management?

Human resources is about people. Human resource management includes staffing, training, compensation and benefits, negotiations, employment and labor law, and organizational behavior. Human resource professionals partner with management, supervisors and employees on ways to increase workplace efficiency and carry out the company or organization's strategic goals.

What leadership opportunities are available for students?

WSU's chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the largest and most active student chapter in Utah. 

Members participate in the SHRM "HR Games" a competition that takes place annually at the state, national and regional levels.
