An important advantage of pursuing an IST major at Weber State University is access to faculty throughout the program.  We have found that careful planning is important for students in completing their degree.  IST faculty are here to serve not only as professors, but also as mentors and advisors.

We recommend that each student meet with his or her advisor at least once a year.

Students are free to contact any IST faculty member for advisement.  When scheduling an initial advisement session, the following assignments by student last name may be helpful. 

Seniors, Minors, BIS, Transfers, and 2nd degrees need to also meet with the Department Secretary.
