Students seeking a degree or certificate program within the John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics (GSBE) must be formally admitted.
GSBE ADMITTANCE CRITERIA
Formal admission to Weber State University (WSU)
Completion of one semester at WSU
Successful completion (C grade or higher) of English 1010, English 2010 and MATH 1050 (or equivalent)
Successful completion (C- grade or higher) of Business Foundation (BF) courses with a 2.5 or higher GPA for the five BF courses
Overall cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Declaration of business major
GSBE ADMITTANCE PROCESS
Step 1: PREPARE the GSBE ADMISSION PACKET.
Only complete Admission Packets will be considered. Admission and major declaration forms are available at any GSBE department, including academic departments, and the Advising Center. Complete packets include:
GSBE application
One (1) copy of the student-issued Weber State University transcript which shows scores for any challenge exam (e.g., CLEPP), AP credits, total credit hours transferred from ALL other institutions of higher education, and World Education Services evaluation (for international studies)
One (1) copy of transcripts from ALL institutions of higher education which include institution name, courses taken, including grade received, and term taken
Major declaration form - if major has not been declared
Essay as described in the application materials
Step 2: SUBMIT the GSBE ADMISSION PACKET.

OR drop off at any GSBE department office, including academic departments, the Advising Center, or the Office of the Dean.
Step 3: MEET with GSBE COORDINATOR OF RECRUITMENT & CAREER DEVELOPMENT - optional, but strongly suggested.
Step 4: AWAIT NOTIFICATION LETTER from the GSBE ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE.
