Association of Future Radiologic Professionals (AFRP)
The AFRP develops a network for all Radiologic Sciences students as well as a structured support group to help reduce stress caused by didactic and clinical experience. It also helps provide funding for educational conferences and seminars and organizes lectures on student-related issues.
Past activities have included fund raising and participation in campus activities including Career Days and Campus Organizations. AFRP members have volunteered and participated in other events, such as the Race for Cure.
Members of AFRP have received funding to attend conferences such as the Utah Society of Radiologic Technologists’ annual meeting. They have participated in the annual meeting of the Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology in Las Vegas. Students also have had an opportunity to attend the national American Society of Radiologic Technologists conference and participated as interns in the House of Delegates.AFRP is committed to providing students of Radiologic Sciences with opportunities to participate and be involved in activities on campus and within the community, state and profession. Membership forms are available with your orientation packets upon acceptance into the program. The form also is available here:
