Admissions & Selection

Application Process
It is critical that all parts of the application process be completed and submitted. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please download the appropriate admission checklist for your program (to aid you in the process) and all necessary applications from our Applications & Checklists link.

The application deadline is January 10th.

Selection Process
Selection of students is based upon a point system.  Students receive points based on their GPA, three recommendations (submitted with application) and possible interview.  Students with the most earned points, adhering to the criteria, are accepted into the program.  The number of students accepted is determined by the number of students our affiliated health care facilities are able to accommodate.  Alternate students are selected in the case that a student decides not to enter the program.

The selection of students adheres to all state and federal laws and university policies concerning discrimination and fairness in the selection process. Weber State University strives to include a diversity of cultures and perspectivesbecause it enriches the learning environment. Here you will find an atmosphere where you are valued and encouraged to participate fully.

Selection Notification
Students are notified of acceptance into the program by May 1. If you are selected, you will be assigned a clinical site by the department.
