Dr. Jeff M. Stephens has dedicated a large portion of his life to the education of others.
An education administrator, Stephens began his career in Weber School District in 1984 as an English and reading teacher at Wahlquist Junior High School. In 1994, he was appointed administrative intern at Roy High School. Stephens became the assistant principal at South Ogden Junior High School in 1995 and was later appointed as principal. He held that position until 2000, when he was named director of curriculum and instruction for Weber School District. In 2004, Stephens was appointed assistant superintendent. In April 2011, the Board of Education named him superintendent of the Weber School District.
Stephens received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Weber State University. He earned his administrative/supervisory endorsement and Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from Utah State University. Stephens also holds an advanced reading endorsement from the Utah State Office of Education.
Stephens has provided leadership in local, state, national and international professional organizations, and he has received recognition, honors and awards for his leadership and abilities.
