The first planning cycle initiated by the WSU Planning Council began in fall of 2003.

After indentifying initiatives to guide the university through spring of 2005, the members of the Planning Council Recommended those initiatives to the divisional vice-presidents for implementation.

Task forces made up of faculty, staff and students were then assembled to access and implement those initiatives.

The results of those task forces' implementation efforts are summarized in the attached Annual Reports for the years 2003-04 and 2004-05.

By spring of 2005, the initiatives for 2003-05 were, while no means fully accomplished, nevertheless judged to be sufficiently institutionalized that the WSU Planning Council felt free to launch a new cycle of accessment and planning.
