2 contrasting solos or excerpts for a total of 3 to 4 minutes. The solos or excerpts should demonstrate technique & expression. May be performed with or without accompaniment.
Percussionists should prepare an excerpt on timpani, snare, mallets, and drum set and be prepared to briefly sight-read on each of these instruments.
Woodwind and Brass players will be asked to play their 12 major scales & to sight-read a brief excerpt.
Out-of-state applicants may submit a video tape by 2/15/13.

2 major scales and 1 minor scale, all in 3 octaves with a minimum of two octaves for string bass.
10 minutes worth of solo material. May be performed with or without accompaniment.

Classical in contrasting styles and languages. Must have your own accompanist or tape/ CD with accompaniment.
