Educators, employers, graduate and professional schools all understand the value of an undergraduate research experience. Consequently, the University Undergraduate Research Committee and the Office of Undergraduate Research have worked to provide these experiences to students throughout Weber State University. Students may use their award to cover personal stipend, supplies, equipment, travel expenses, and expenses related to attending conferences, professional meetings, etc.
The Office of Undergraduate Research is offering a mandatory workshop on preparing a successful research proposal. All students will need to attend one of the workshops before submitting a grant to OUR for research funding.

Performance/Conference Travel Grants
PLEASE NOTE: Some travel grant guidelines have changed, make sure to review the information on the Performance/Conference Travel Grants website.
Performance/Conference Travel Grants support students who have been invited to perform or to lead the presentation of their independent scholarly work at a professional or scholarly conference. The grants fund travel-related expenses, as well as normal conference registration. Travel Grants have no set deadline, however they must be submitted at least one month prior to the time when reservations need to be made. Only one student per project may be funded for travel. Exception can be made for projects that require more than one student (i.e. Musical accompanist).
