NASA:  NASA Contracting Intern Program (NCIP)    consists of a series of paid work assignments combined with alternative periods of academic study for students majoring in Business Administration with at least a 3.0 GPA.  The first work assignment will be 5 or 6 months.  Subsequent to the first assignment, it will only be necessary to work during the summer months (until graduation).  The program prepares students for their careers in the Federal Government.  NASA relies heavily on its intern program as a source of bright, innovative employees.  Appointment to the NCIP provides students with exposure to public service, enhances their education experience, and provides financial earnings to students to encourage and support their educational and career goals.  Entry into this program is designed for college sophomores and juniors and provides a structured training program including formal education, diverse rotational assignments, and extensive on-the-job training.  NASA's Centers are located in eight states and are staffed with highly motivated and innovative individuals who set challenging goals.  (Flyer)

National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE)   invites the submission of grant proposals to further public education in the areas of personal finance, financial planning, and family and consumer economics.  This program supports applied research and the development of curricula or learning materials that: 1) help members of the general public gain control of and better manage their finances; or 2) aid underserved segments of the population whose specialized financial education needs are not being addressed through traditional assistance channels.    (Guidelines)
