Admission into the WSU nursing program is selective. A limited number of students are accepted into the program each year. This enables WSU to provide the quality clinical experience and skill set this growing field requires.

Application Process

You must first apply for admission to WSU, and you must also apply for admission to the PN to RN program.

It is critical that all parts of the application process be completed and submitted. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please download the appropriate brochure and admission checklist for your program (to aid you in the process) and all necessary applications from our Applications & Checklists page.

Deadlines

Application deadlines vary depending upon which campus you want to attend. The list below contains application acceptance periods for admission at each campus. Applications will be sent out according to the dates listed.

Weber State University - Ogden
Fall semester: February 1 - April 5
Spring semester: August 15 - November 10

Utah State University - Logan
Fall semester: February 1 - April 5

Davis Applied Technology Center - Kaysville
Fall semester: May 15 - July 20
Summer semester: February 1 - April 5

Snow College - Richfield
Fall semester: August 1 - March 1

Selection Process

PN to RN applications are reviewed by the nursing program admissions and advancement committee. A point system is used to facilitate candidate selection. Support courses are evaluated, but points will not be awarded for courses in progress during the semester applications are received.

Selection Notification

Students are notified of acceptance into the program by May 1 for Fall admission and December 15 for Spring admission.
