All degree options available on the WSU campus are available at various sites throughout Utah. Sites and available degree options are determined by nursing and college administration and are based upon documented need, available finances, preparation of the student pool and availability of clinical and theory faculty. The following sites have been approved to start, and processes are underway to prepare students. Other sites are under consideration and will be posted as they are approved. You receive priority admission if you live in the program's geographical location. Application requirements, admission requirements, curriculum pattern and graduation requirements for all outreach programs are identical to on-campus programs. The majority of theory courses in outreach are delivered online. Each course has specific requirements for in-class attendance and testing, and those requirements differ from course to course. Clinical courses are taught by faculty at specific dates and times as assigned in predetermined clinical facilities. Most of the clinical sites are located at or near the program site; however, it may be necessary for you to travel out of your area to clinical sites for specialty education. The clinical hour requirement for each course is the same as for an on-campus course. All outreach nursing programs are full-time enrollment. Part-time enrollment is not available in outreach. You may obtain further information from Aiko Flowers, Outreach Secretary or Pam Rice, Outreach Coordinator.
