Continuing Education

The School of Nursing works closely with WSU Continuing Education to provide training and programs for professional nurses.

Continuing Education classes are created to meet the needs of the community and are taught at times and places intended to allow you to balance school, family and work responsibilities.

The following nursing-related programs are being offered:

  • Nurse Re-entry Program: Has your practical or registered nursing license expired? This program allows you to meet the requirements for reactivating your license.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Course: This unique 80-hour course approved by the Utah State Board of Education teaches the techniques used by successful nursing assistants. Visit the Utah Health Technology Certification Center for more information on CNA licensing.
  • Educate the Educator: This 3-month, independent study course is approved by the Utah Nursing Assistant Registry (UNAR) and is designed to meet the requirements of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) guidelines for the instructors who teach adults in a Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP).
