What are the employment opportunities?

Graduates with bachelor's degrees are qualified as project engineers, estimators, schedulers and project managers. Graduates are employed by large international companies and at all government levels, as well as smaller regional companies and independent contractors.

Graduates with associate's degrees are qualified in surveying, field engineering and first-line supervision.

Starting Salaries
Starting salaries vary depending on the region, workplace and skill level. According to the 2001 PAS Construction/Construction Management Staff salary survey, the average base pay for construction managers over all construction types was $81,046. For more information, go to Career Services.

   

What will I learn in the program?

You will learn the major aspects of construction technology including residential, commercial and highway. Your general learning will include construction sciences (engineering and architecture), math and physical science, business, management and general education. The program provides an excellent foundation for graduate work in architecture, construction and business management.
