What can I do with a degree in Visual Arts - 2D Media?
Employment options for graduates include working as exhibiting painters, portrait artists or printmakers. As visually literate, innovative thinkers, their background prepares them to address the contemporary demands of many fields.
What will I learn?
Majors may specialize or diversify their area of study in painting, drawing, and printmaking. Encouraged to develop their own personal vision and independent voice, they explore a range of techniques and theoretical perspectives.
Degrees available:
- Bachelor’s degree
Visual Arts majors may choose from six different emphases - Art Education Composite (BS or BA)
- General Art (BS or BA)
- Photography (BFA)
- Three Dimensional (BFA)
- Two Dimensional (BFA)
- Visual Communication (BFA)
- Minors available

- BIS emphasis
