Admission
Residents and International students who plan to enroll at WSU/LEAP need to complete an application for admissions. Applications are reviewed only when all required documents are on file.

United States Residents
US residents who score 16 or below on the English portion of the ACT test or who have no ACT score are required to take the LEAP Accuplacer Test. Students who score 90 or above on BOTH the Reading Comprehension and Language Usage portions of the test may register for English 1010.  Students scoring 89 or below on EITHER the Reading Comprehension or the Language Usage portions of the test must take the LEAP Placement Exam and complete the appropriate courses according to the test results before registering for English 1010. International Students
The application deadline is 60 days prior to the start of the semester a student plans to attend. International Students who have  no TOEFL score or a score less than 500 on the paper version, 173 on the computer version or 61 on the internet-based version can be admitted to WSU on the condition that they take the LEAP Placement Exam and complete the appropriate courses according to the test results. Upon completion, students are able to register for academic classes.

Visas
The Services for International Student Center at WSU will issue a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 form) to international students who meet the admissions requirements. The I-20 will automatically be issued once the student is admitted to the university.

Weber State University requires international students to maintain health insurance. Students need to verify they have international coverage from their home country or they must purchase health insurance upon their arrival in the United States.
