Procedures & Charges for non-WEBER.EDU Domain Name Services (DNS)

1.  WSU Systems & Network Management provides, within it's departmental mission, Domain Name Services (DNS) for the WEBER.EDU domain. This includes – at no charge to university entities – configuring and maintaining necessary servers, registration with Internet authorities, and implementing procedures for updating DNS entries and troubleshooting DNS service problems for the WEBER.EDU domain.

2.  WSU Systems & Network Management, at the request of a WSU department or affiliated entity and with the approval of the IT Council, also provides DNS services as described above for domains other than WEBER.EDU. The fee for this service to the requesting entity is $1,000 per year.

3.  Charges do not apply to host server DNS entries for systems not administered by WSU Systems & Network Management.

4.  The WSU IT Council may elect to partially or fully waive application of charges on a case by case basis.
