Samantha Edmunds 

Samantha is currently a junior at Weber State University. She is working on getting a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in neuroscience. She plans to one day get her Ph.D in Neuroscience to further understand the mysteries of the human brain. This is her third year serving on the Honors Student Advisory Board. She loves to work with the students and teachers in the Honors Program, give back to the community, and is excited to be serving as this years President of the Honors Student Advisory Board. Sam loves to joke around and loves to see people laugh and smile. In her free time, you can find Sam playing soccer, running, playing the ukulele, dancing or reading.


Zachary Gibson

Zack is a senior at Weber State.  He is majoring in Medical Laboratory Sciences and has completed a minor in Chemistry.  He is the Vice-President of the Weber State University Medical Laboratory Sciences Club and is an active member of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science.  He loves interacting with patients in his work at Foothill Family Clinic.  In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, mountain biking, reading, and spending time with his family, including his beautiful fiancé.  After earning his Bachelor’s degree from Weber State, Zack plans on attending medical school and hopes to someday practice emergency medicine.

Isaac Marshall

Isaac is a senior at Weber state majoring in Microbiology with a Chemistry minor. Following his undergraduate degree, he has plans to go on to medical school to pursue a career as a physician. In addition to being a part of the honors board, he is an officer of the WSU AMSA (pre-med) club and he volunteers with a local hospice company and at a women’s shelter. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, singing, hiking, playing the cello, and gardening.


Tanner Telford

Tanner is a junior at Weber State majoring in secondary education in English and minoring in psychology education. This is his first year as part of the Honors Student Advisory Board. He is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, the Executive Vice President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars at WSU, and a resident assistant (RA) at the University Village residence halls. He intends to receive his master's degree in English from WSU before receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Utah. Tanner loves to draw, write, read, and play volleyball in his free time.



Tia Walker

Tia is a senior at Weber State majoring in business administration/human resource. She is entering her first year being on the Honors Student Advisory Board. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Phi Kappa Phi, and SHRM. Tia currently works for the Office of Access and Outreach  at WSU as a tutor, helping high school students in a variety of subjects as needed. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends and family, watch football (Go Patriots!), help others, and listen to music.
