The Weber State Honors Program has organized an Honors Book Club.  The Freedom Writers Diary by Erin Gruwell has been given to each member of the Honors faculty and to each Honors student enroll in an Honors course Fall Semester.  There will be a showing of the movie, "Freedom Writers," on October 23rd from 1-4pm in the Hetzel-Hoellein Room of the Library (Special Collections).  Dr. Michael Wutz will lead the discussion following the movie. 

On October 30, at 6:15am a van will be leaving the A-9 parking lot for Salt Lake City, where students will have the opportunity to hear Erin Gruwell speak.  If you are interested in going to the lecture, contact Leanna Riddle at 626-7591. 

On November 15th from noon until 2pm, in the Hetzel-Hoellein Room, there will be a luncheon to discuss the book.  The discussion will be led by Dr.  Kathryn MacKay.  We encourage you to become involved with the Honors Book Club.
