Welcome to the Health Sciences Department in the Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions. Our department provides prerequisite health sciences classes for 19 health professions programs at Weber State. These classes are delivered in several educational formats including Internet courses, videoconferencing, and independent study formats. Many of the classes are also taught as concurrent enrollment classes in 18 Utah high schools.

This year the Utah State Board of Regents approved an Associate of Science Degree in Health Sciences. This exciting new degree offers students the opportunity to complete a full Associate Degree which includes the prerequisites for all the health professions programs at Weber State University. The degree also includes classes in pharmacology, common medicines, Math and Case studies. This degree is transferrable to other universities and colleges and can be used in a career ladder program in related disciplines such as medical sales, medical social worker, medical accounting etc.
