Submission types: Vista will indicate what type of submissions is required. The two categories are Assessments and Assignments:

1.     The Assessments tool is used to deliver online tests on course material. As with the assessments in a regular classroom environment, the assessments in Vista give you the opportunity to gauge your understanding of course content and receive feedback from your instructor.

2.     The assignments you encounter in Vista are much like the assignments you would encounter in a regular classroom. For example, you may be asked to complete questions, exercises, and written work or essays in order to help you gain a better understanding of the course material

To submit an Assignment:

1.     Click on the assignment that you wish to complete.

2.     Follow the instructions given by the instructor on whether to submit the assignment directly into the submission box or with an attachment.

3.     If it is an attachment, click on the “Attach File” link. Click on the appropriate link for the location of your file (e.g., My Computer). Once you have located the file, click “Attach File.”

To submit an Assessment:

2.     After reading the directions, click “Begin Assessment.”

3.     Input your answers in the format the assessment calls for (e.g., essay, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, etc.)

4.     After completing each question, click “Save Answer.”

5.     When finished, click “Save All” and then “Finish.”

To see your grades from the “My WSU Online” page:

To see your grades from your course page:

1.     Click on the actual assignment or assessment link from the home page of the course, and your grade and the instructor’s comments will be there.

2.     From the links on the left-hand side of the course page, you can click on the type of assignment you wish to look up (i.e., Assignments or Assessments). Posted there are all the assignments or assessments that are available, that have been submitted, and that have been graded. Click on the "Graded" tab, and your assignment or assessment will be posted there.
