Fall, 2006

  • Dr. Hal Crimmel has two books forthcoming in 2007:  Dinosaur: A Place of Rivers (from the  University of Arizona Press) and On Location: Adventures in Place-Based Teaching, edited with Laird Christensen (from the University of Nevada Press).
  • Dr. Michael Wutz co-edited Made in Switzerland. Contemporary Fiction from German-Speaking Switzerland, a special issue of the international, bilingual magazine Dimension2 (forthcoming Spring 2007).
  • The Board of Regents approves a Masters program in English; course offerings to begin in Fall 2006.
  • Dr. Kathy Herndon elected chair of the English department
  • Dr. Gary Dohrer is on sabbatical
  • Dr. Diane Krantz is on sabbatical
  • Dr. Bob Hogge is on sabbatical
  • Dr. Hal Crimmel begins a three-year appointment as endowed scholar for the College of Arts and Humanities
