Faculty,  Executive, Professional, and Classified  employees on .75 FTE contracts or greater are entitled to take six credits per semester without payment of tuition or fees, plus an additional fifty (50) percent waiver for credit hours beyond the first six.   Spouses are entitled to the same benefit.

Dependent children of employees on .75 FTE contracts or greater, under age 31 (whether married or no) are entitled to have fifty (50) percent of the normal tuition for their course load waived.  Payment of student fees is required. Tax implications may apply, see policy for details.

Faculty,  executive, professional, and classified employees employed at .375 FTE to .74 FTE may register for six credit hours per semester without payment of tuition or fees.  The spouse and/or dependent children of part-time employees are not entitled to receive tuition or fee waivers.  Hourly  employees are not entitled to tuition benefits.

Credit/Non-credit Continuing Education courses may be included in the tuition waivers if a sufficient number of paying students are enrolled and space is available.

Employees  must  take classes  outside of their  regular work schedule.   Request for exceptions to this policy must be made in writing, include a plan for making up the hours missed, and be approved by your department head or supervisor.

 How to activate tuition benefits for employees:

1. Log into eWeber Portal

2. Under the "Staff" tab, click on "Online Form for Activating Tuition Benefits"

3. Select "Employee-Tuition Benefit Activator"

4. Select the appropriate semester

5. Click on "Activate" and confirm by selecting "OK"*

* Note: This benefit must be activated each semester

How to activate tuition benefits for spouse/dependents:

1. Provide proof of eligibility for spouses or children by presenting the following documents to the Human Resource Department:

  • For spouses: provide previous year's tax return or a recent marriage license (less than one year)
  • For children: provide birth certificate
2. Log into eWeber Portal

3. Under the "Staff" tab, click on "Online Form for Activating Tuition Benefits"

4. Select "Employee-Tuition Benefit Activator"

5. Select the appropriate family member

6. Select the appropriate semester

7. If activating the tuition benefit for a child, the employee will be required to indicate whether or not the child will be claimed on taxes

8. Click on "Activate," read the confirmation statement, and confirm by selecting "OK"*

* Note: This benefit must be activated each semester
