The University strives to provide continuous employment through effective planning and careful selection. Terminations occurring through voluntary or involuntary actions are handled in such a manner as to achieve the least adverse effect upon employees and the University. You should give at least two weeks notice prior to a voluntary resignation.
Resignations should be submitted in writing to your department head or supervisor. Prior to leaving campus you must complete an Employee Release Form and return your ID card (spouse and dependent ID card, if appropriate) and medical card. Contact the Human Resource Department for complete instructions. (PPM 3-10, 3-10b)
