Weber State University currently offers health and dental insurance options that provide for a combination of hospital, surgical, major medical expense and dental benefits to you and your eligible dependents. Dependents are covered until they reach the age of 26 or until they are married. Most of the cost of these programs is paid by the University; your cost depends on the options you choose. Part time salaried employees working fifty percent or more are eligible for health and dental insurance on a prorated basis. Insurance benefits begin the day of hire. You may change insurance plans once a year during open enrollment ,usually the month of May.
The University offers a Preferred Provider option: EMIA (PPO): Care Plus.
New Employees will need to make an appointment with the Human Resource Employment Supervisor, Ext. 6036, to complete the paper work for enrollment.
