Picture identification cards are issued to all salaried employees and non-salaried adjunct & clinical faculty.  Your identification card is required for the following:

  • Library material checkout
  • Discounts on tickets for athletic and cultural events
  • Discounts on purchases at the bookstore
  • Access to the physical education facilities
  • Use of Union Building facilities (movies, bowling)
  • Other activities sponsored by the University
     

To obtain your ID card: pick up an Employee Authorization slip from the Human Resource Department and proceed to the Shepherd Student Union Building,  Room 230 where the digitized  ID picture is produced.  The card will  be made while you wait.  Without the Employee Authorization slip they will not issue you a card.  If you terminate your employment, you are required to return your ID card to the Human Resource Office.

Also available are ID cards for spouses and dependents of salaried employees.  To obtain a Spouse ID card  you must first go to the Human Resource Department to obtain an Employee Authorization slip and then proceed to the Shepherd Student Union Building, Room 230 where the digitized spouse ID picture is produced.  The card will  be made while you wait.  There is a one time $5 fee.

Dependent children 16 years or older may obtain a Dependent ID card for a one time fee of $5. To obtain a dependent card the full-time contract employee-parent and dependent child  must go to the Shepherd Student Union
Building and present a birth certificate or driver's license to verify dependent’s age.  The digitized  ID picture is produced. The card will  be made while you wait.  Younger children of full-time contract employees may use some campus facilities in the company of adults with a WSU ID.  The dependent card does not secure a ten percent discount at the WSU Bookstore or allow children to check-out library materials.
