  A strong, experiential background in ambualnce EMS highly is encouraged due to the nature of the evening "skills camp" model.

Teaching Method

Classroom “face to face" with WSU Online hybrid support and ChiTester testing

Streamed video, real time “face to face,” WSU Online hybrid, and ChiTester testing. Physical attendance at all classes is MANDATORY.

Skill Labs

All day Wednesday in PAR 2040 starting late September

Three “skills camp” weeks -

1.   Finals week of December (M-F, 5 days)

2.   Week after Spring Break  (M-Sa, 6 days)

3.   2nd or (3rd )  week of June (M - M, 8 days)

Field Internship Requirements

480+ hours (480 nominal) needed to meet terminal competencies and achieve 50 ALS team leads. Students must plan on 48-72 hours per week from 2/15 to 4/26.  Field rides on a predesignated shift, must be completed by 4/26/13. (No "shift swapping")

480+ hours (480 nominal) needed to meet terminal competencies and achieve 50 ALS team leads. Students must plan on 24-36 hours per week 7/15 to 11/30. Field rides on a predesignated shift must be completed by 11/30/13. (No "shift swapping")

Field Internship Locations

As scheduled – Wasatch Front

As scheduled in approved agencies – 240 hours will be done on the Wasatch Front
