 Welcome to our third annual 'Run for Research' event. We are excited to announce our 2011 'Run for Research'. All proceeds will benefit the 'Huntsman Cancer Foundation' to aid in their vision. "We imagine a time when cancer is no longer the leading cause of death for people 85 years old and older. We envision a time when cancer is eradicated altogether. Thanks to research, many forms of cancer are now entirely prevented or diagnosed in their earliest, most treatable stages. By funding efforts to better understand the beginnings of cancer and more effectively treat cancer, the Huntsman Cancer Foundation helps relieve suffering and improve the quality of life for cancer patients, survivors and their families until this very complex disease is wiped from the memory of mankind." -Awards will be given to the top three finishers in male/female, age group categories. Review the registration form for specific award categories. The event will be timed using running chips. Pre-registration is only $10.00 which includes a free poly-cotton t-shirt (while supplies last). On-Site registration fee will be $15.00. -This option is available for friends and family who would like to support the cause and enjoy the festivities without the competitive edge. Registration is only $10.00 per family/group with additional donations welcomed. Poly-cotton T-Shirts are available for purchase, as supplies last. See registration form for shirt details. Race Day Information: On-Site Registration: 8:00 am - 8:50 am Pre-Registration Check In: 8:00 am - 8:50 am Race Time Start: 9:00 am Directions to Weber State University-Davis: See Map Liquid & Refreshments: Available at the start/finish line. 1 water station will be available mid-way through the competitive 5k race. Awards & Door Prizes: Will be provided at the conclusion of the 5k race. Participants of the 5k race and the Family Fun Run/Walk will be eligible for door prizes. Payment Options: Cash or Check.
