Undergraduate Field Placement


The Weber State University (WSU) Counseling and Psychological Services Center (CPSC) Outreach Team program is seeking motivated students to develop and deliver outreach programming. Students who are interested in this experience are encouraged apply. Applicants will participate in a group interview process, and selected participants will commit to participating in formal, on-going training and in multiple outreach projects per year.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year of school
  • Commitment to one academic year of participation
  • Attend an introductory training for half a day the Friday before fall semester begins
  • Participation in a weekly training seminar on Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. (SC 280)
  • Take primary responsibility for one outreach per year and participate in other programs to aid other Team Members
  • Assist in developing innovative outreach programs
  • Present on a topic of interest during the course of the year
  • If desired, develop a special project in an area of interest

  • Complete all requirements through your major to apply for Field Placement
  • Contact your field placement coordinator to determine if there are special application requirements
  • Complete the application form (WORD) or application form (pdf) and return it to CPSC in SC 280
  • Submit a resume or CV
  • Submit the names and contact information for two references
  • If invited, participate in a group interview
  • DUE DATE: March 19, 2014 by noon.
