The Community Involvement Center is partnering with the National
Association for the Advancement of Colored People in their MLK Day
efforts. Volunteers will meet and the Marshall White Center at 8:30
AM to help serve breakfast to those community members interested in the
events of the day. Following breakfast, we will participate in a Freedom
March from the Marshall White Center to the Ogden Pavilion where we
will listen to a speaker (although the speaker has not yet been
selected, last year Betty Sawyer – President of NAACP was the speaker).
Directly following the speaker, our volunteers will participate in a
food drive on the WSU campus and play bowling and billiards. Please join
us for this great day of service events!

The American Democracy Project will be sponsoring the MLK Week of Service Kick-Off event. We will be showing the "I Have A Dream" speech and listen to a speaker.

The Community Involvement Center will be partnering with American Red
Cross to host a Blood Drive on campus as part of our MLK week. The blood
drive with be four days long (January 22 – January 25). We expect to
receive approximately 400 units of blood by drive close on Friday.
Please come out and donate some blood!
