January 18, 2008 Utah Press Association 3rd Annual Boot Camp. Presented multiple sessions on interviewing, writing and editing. Two-day journalism training seminar sponsored by the Utah Press Association at Utah Valley Community College. Approximately 100 journalists in attendance. September 28, 2007, High School Journalism training seminar sponsored by Utah Valley Community College: Interviewing for Results & Copy Editing. March 6, 2007, Freedom of Information Updates: Society of Professional Journalists Regional Conference. March 14, 2007, Utah League of Women Voters, “Closed Doors, Open Democracies?” Panelist for three-hour long town meeting, which included a video and discussion. September 14, 2006, Utah League of Cities and Towns, “Open Meetings – Open Records: It’s the Law,” Presented changes in Utah Law to more than 100 members of the League at their annual convention. March 2006, Second annual UPA Boot Camp held it at Weber State University. Presented sessions on interviewing, writing and editing. Also helped organize the event, which included arranging seven guest speakers for multiple sessions. Nearly 100 journalists attended all or part of the two-day seminar. January 2005, First Annual Utah Press Association Boot Camp. Presented multiple session on editing, writing and government. In attendance were approximately 75 journalists from around the state, Snow College. September 18, 2005, Moderated Honors Issue Forum Panel on journalism ethics, Weber State University.
